Mission & History

Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve, cultivate, and pass on the rich tradition of Irish music to the next generation and adults alike. We believe in creating a welcoming, inspiring, and highly professional environment where every student can discover their unique rhythm and connect with our shared musical heritage.

The Story Begins

Founded with a passion for authentic traditional tunes, NY Irish Music School started as a small gathering of dedicated musicians. We noticed a gap in structured, high-quality Irish music education that catered to both absolute beginners and advanced players in the New York area.
Today, we have modernized the learning experience without losing the soul of the music. Our curriculum is designed to foster community, build technical excellence, and ensure that the legacy of the fiddle, flute, and bodhrán continues to thrive.
